Easy Knit Dickey

I am hosting a make a long on my channel.

Several people wanted to learn how to make a knit Dickey. Thus we now have the #makeadickeyMAL !

This is Part Two, and you can find Part One here.

Here are the written details.

Here’s the general details:
3.5 ounces of #4 weight yarn
1 pair of no. 10 or 6 mm knitting needles
( if using a circular, choose a 24” cord )
2 stitch holders ( these hold stitches until used later)
stitch markers
darning needle
scissors
tape measure

To begin:
measure off about 60 inches of yarn and cast on 56 stitches.
Knit 5 rows.
Row 6 ( wrong side row ) ; Knit 3, place marker, purl to last 3 stitches, place marker, knit 3.
Row 7, right side row. (Place a progress keeper or wrap a piece of different colored yarn around a stitch and tie it facing forward, to mark the right side.)
Knit across.
Repeat rows 6 and 7 until piece meas#makeadickeymal
Part TWO
Bind off 14 sts of the next two rows as follows.
You should be on the purl side of your work. Knit the first stitch, knit the second stitch, pass the first stitch over the second stitch and drop the second stitch from the needle.
You will bind the stitches as they come to you, bind off the knit stitches knit wise, and the purl stitches purl wise.
Work the row across and turn.
Bind off the next 14 stitches. Work across to the end of the row.
Slip the remaining 28 stitches unto the stitch holder.
Cut your yarn.
Make a second piece the same as this one. Putting the remaining 28 stitches on a second stitch holder.

You can join the make a long on the Facebook group or email fiberflooziecrafts@gmail.com me a picture of your progress. I would love to have you join us!

2022 Was a Good Year Overall!

I managed to put up a review of my finished projects from the year. I am sure I missed a few, however the video reflects everything I had taken pictures of.

As per my usual self, I went through a lot of changes, and so did my channel and my website. What’s life if we aren’t learning anything?

Having not set extravagant goals for myself which I would never have lived up to, I still finished a project per week! Go me.

There were great things that happened along the way, like losing over 20 pounds and several sizes down.

My plan this year is to keep on keeping on. Keep on being me. Doing what I can when I can and enjoying each moment.

Happy New Year!

I have a playlist for the Clues which you can access here: Seeing Double Crochet Shawl Mystery CAL

**Please note that some of the videos do also contain True Crime discussion.

Seeing Double Crochet Mystery Shawl CAL Clues #1 and # 2

Here is where you will find the updates for the beginner friendly shawl I am doing with my daughter Chelsey!

I am so proud that both of my daughters are crocheters. Chelsey is also a knitter, but new to crochet. So we thought it would be good to do a crochet along together using some basic crochet stitches.
